Description

Trinidad Head Lighthouse is perched on the tip of Trinidad Head in northern Humboldt County. First lit in 1871, the lighthouse remains an important navigational aid to mariners finding their way along this rugged coastline. As part of the California Coastal National Monument, it is managed in collaboration with local and regional partners with a common vision of coastal stewardship and honoring Indigenous communities.

Trinidad Museum Society volunteers open the lighthouse for tours on the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information about the tours contact the Trinidad Museum at (707) 677-3883. For all other inquiries please contact the Arcata Field Office, Bureau of Land Management at (707) 825-2300.
