The Bureau of Land Management Vale District is advising visitors of dangerously high flows and very cold water temperatures on the Owyhee River below the Owyhee Dam.

Situated on the banks of the Lower Owyhee River, Snively Hot Springs offers year-round primitive soaking against a scenic desertscape. The hot springs are undeveloped and riverine rocks have been placed to form soaking pools, tempering the 190 degree emergent spring waters with the cooling Owyhee River.
In recent years, some visitors have violated the rules of the site. This behavior risks the potential closure of Snively Hot Springs. Please do your part in keeping this site open by recreating responsibly and leaving it better than you found it.
From Adrian, Oregon: Head north on OR-201 N and turn left on Mendiola Rd, proceed for 2.5 miles. Then turn right on Kurtz Rd driving one mile, then left onto Overstreet Rd for another 2.5 miles. At Owyhee Lake Rd, turn left and proceed another 3.3 miles to Snively Hot Springs.
